‘The place where they lift all those heavy weights.’
‘That’s where they flip those BIG tractor tires.’

The truth is, I have heard all of these statements before, which tells me there is a need to clarify exactly who we are, what we do, and most importantly, why we do it.
The Muscle Hut is a Performance Centre with a team of dedicated and passionate Strength & Fitness Coaches offering cutting edge Strength & Conditioning Classes, Personal Training, Athlete Development, 55+ Active Living, KidFit (youth fitness classes) and Online Training. Our facility is founded on a culture that provides a supportive environment, which promotes positivity, self-confidence, and scientifically based training and nutrition strategies for any fitness level to exceed your goals.
While it is awesome to see pictures of large tractor tires being flipped and big lifts being made by our clients, what can’t be seen in the pictures is all of the work that was put in leading up to that point. The truth is that the majority of our clients start out with little to no experience with strength training. And while we love to showcase our clients’ success, it is important to recognize that a big part of what we do is helping inexperienced people get started in what can otherwise be an intimidating, complicated and at times, frustrating part of life.
Our culture provides the perfect environment if you are just getting started on your fitness journey. We promote positivity and self-confidence through our fully coached workouts. From day one, you have a coach to welcome you to the facility; lead you through a proper warm-up routine; clearly explain how each new workout is structured; take you through all of the main movement patterns, step by step, answering any questions along the way; map out a customized nutrition plan that will improve your health, performance and body composition; track your progress to ensure you are moving towards your goals; and most importantly, make you feel comfortable in this new environment and put your mind at ease.
At the Muscle Hut, we have standardized progressions that we use for each individual movement pattern. For example, with the squat, all of our clients start out by simply squatting down to a box, using only their bodyweight, just like they’re sitting down onto a chair and standing back up again. This is the first step in a series of progressions that we use to teach proper movement mechanics of the squat. No additional load is added until the coach AND the client both feel comfortable with moving on to the next step. Above all else, quality lifting form and technique is always our top priority; safety is number one.
As your coach, it is our job to meet you where you are today and help take you to where you want to be in the future. You already have everything you need to succeed inside of you…we are here to provide guidance, motivation and help facilitate what’s needed in order to get you the results that you desire and deserve! Our success is measured through improving people’s lives, and those variables are different for each individual person. For some it is to increase strength and muscles mass, for some it is fat loss, and for some it is to maintain good health, both physically and mentally. The collective success of all our individual clients entirely determines the success of our mission and we choose to celebrate every accomplishment along the way.
